This deck is designed as an addition to a ranch house near Oglethorpe University, Brookhaven, GA. 

The design has three distinct areas, a space for dining, a screened space and space for conversation.  A gabled trellis or a gabled roof covers ach of the three spaces.  

The conversation space is a few steps below the level of the living room, affording views into the wooded rear of the property. 

The owner built the deck with the help of his father.
